Dive into Sound: Experience Music Like Never Before, Underwater!
Our products are dedicated to listening to and reproducing music in aquatic environments. For us, an aquatic environment means swimming pools, lakes, the sea, saunas, rivers – anywhere water is the predominant natural element.
We began producing the first underwater loudspeakers in 2015, simultaneously with amplified trolleys powered by rechargeable batteries. To date, by the end of September 2021, we have distributed approximately 400 underwater speakers, practically worldwide.
Our main clients are swimming pools, synchronized swimming teams, a significant number of private customers, and hospitality facilities like hotels and agritourism resorts. For hotels and similar establishments, this presents a genuine novelty; guests will be truly surprised to have music in the water, creating an excellent impression.
Good news: the wiring of sound diffusers in the pool is quite simple, similar to installing an underwater light or spotlight. Just like music in your living room or home theater, an amplifier is required, to which you can connect your audio source: tablet/mobile phone, MP3 player, Bluetooth receiver, and/or a mixer.
Our underwater speakers are very efficient with high audio quality. One diffuser is sufficient for pools up to 120sqm. Larger pools will require at least two, but it’s not mandatory; it will be at the discretion of the user, depending on the audio quality desired. The cost of an audio system for music in water constitutes a small part of the investment for pool construction.
Water is an excellent conductor of sound, so much so that researchers are currently studying its therapeutic applications. The theory is that since the body is primarily composed of water, an immersed body would be more sensitive to certain frequencies, particularly low frequencies. Underwater speakers provide a sensation unknown to many; low frequencies envelop the immersed body in a complete, simultaneous total massage.
Unlike its terrestrial counterpart, this type of diffuser does not need to make the movements necessary to push sound waves into the water; there isn’t the rhythmic undulation noticeable with air speakers. This is because underwater units use transducers to transmit sound through vibrations. Our underwater speakers use electromagnetic transducers.
Professional Installation
As mentioned earlier, the installation process for a speaker is essentially the same as for a light. After securing the niche and running the conduit for the connecting cables to the amplifier, it will be the sound technician’s task to use a mixer or via a Bluetooth receiver or WI-FI network, to send the audio signal to the amplifier, and you will have music, or any audio signal, in the water.
You should rely on audio professionals to handle the complexities of tuning and wiring, such as connecting underwater speakers to the entire home audio system. Often, sound diffusion is also integrated near the pool or in the garden.
Underwater diffusers differ whether the pool is existing or if it’s a new construction or renovation. Wall-mounted underwater speaker installation is the best option if you are building a new pool or renovating an existing one. The speakers are designed to fit inside a pool light niche in the pool wall, which makes the installation much more attractive and discreet. The speaker is virtually flush with the pool wall, and the cable runs underground through the conduit to the stereo. This is a safer installation as the cable does not get in the way of swimmers.
If the pool is existing and no short-term renovations are planned, mobile diffusers with cables can be used. They can be immersed in water as needed or even left in the water permanently. A portable amplifier, for example, on a trolley, or a sufficiently long cable to reach a technical compartment where the amplifier will be installed, will be required.
