what to do if the loudspeaker does not work?

 

If the amplifier is switched on correctly and is in working order, a common problem after years of operation is a broken cable and intermittent speaker operation. Try moving the cable close to the speakon connector or speaker coil. To determine for sure if the speaker is broken, if possible, try another speaker.

If the other speaker works:

  • we can replace the faulty speaker if it is under warranty
  • repair it
  • or offer an evaluation for the purchase of a new speaker.

How many speakers should I use in the pool?

The number of speakers required depends on the size and shape of the pool. For a standard rectangular pool, we recommend one speaker per 100 sq m. For a pool with a special shape, the requirements must be evaluated according to the shape of the pool and the desired sound coverage.

Can the AK200 be used in a swimming pool?

Yes, it can also be used in swimming pools; it consists of two AKPRO speakers positioned opposite each other to achieve excellent omnidirectional sound dispersion, which is why it is widely used in lakes and on the open sea.

I need a longer cable, can you supply it?

yes, up to a length of 30m we can supply it immediately, for longer lengths we must know at least 15 days in advance.

Which amplifier can I use for MAUSOUND underwater speakers?

You can use any audio amplifier that can provide up to 140 W RMS into 8 ohms. If you have several speakers, you need to consider the total power and connection system. Ask us for advice on how to connect them and which amplifier to use — we will be able to give you the right answer.

What is the difference between the ‘AK’ version and the ‘AKPRO’ version?

There are two differences:

1) size: the AKPRO version has a diameter 20 mm larger than the AK version

2) thanks to its larger size, it offers better performance: the sound is clearer, louder and carries further.

What is the difference between the AK160-8/AKPRO-8 and the AK160-16/AKPRO-16?

The only difference is the length of the cable:

  • the AK160-8 and AKPRO-8 have an 8-metre cable
  • the AK160-16 and AKPRO-16 have a 16-metre cable
